Default Reverse Lights not working...

Just noticed that my reverse lights on my 2007 Coupe aren't working. Not sure they ever did. I replaced that lamps (which looked perfect). Replaced the 15A fuse (which looked perfect). Still no lights. Now I noticed that when I lock/unlock using the remote, the lights come on. They just don't come on when the car is in reverse. I know there's a sensor in the tranny that turns on the lights. I'm looking for other suggestions / trouble shooting tips before I throw away $50 on a possibly unwarranted part.

C5 vs C6. Like I said, fuses are good. Need to know what else to check first. Switch on C6 is over $50.

Put the car in reverse, pop the connector off the reverse switch, and see if you have Resistance.

In any other gear, the switch should be wide open, hence no continuity across the reverse switch, and with the car in reverse, this presses the ball in to have continuity across the switch.

This will tell you if the switch is bad of not, and/or if the problem is up line instead.
