2005 C6 RPO codes ?
I have a question guys I need your expert help. I bought the car from a dealer in Feb this year, as soon as I got it. I had H/C/I exhaust tune and some other work done also. SO I didn't have it her in my possession for a minute. Anywho, I was about to buy some Z51 sway bars this week to throw on the car, for some upgraded suspension parts, as I was cleaning out the glove box I looked and seen a sheet on the left hand side with a bunch of codes on it. So I did some research and found that the car came with z51 package ( so I am assuming) based on what listed in the codes and what I tried to research. Now when I bought the car I seen it had drilled rotors but I just assumed they were aftermarket based off the sales guy telling me this. I didn't think anything about it, cause the dealer Never said anything about the car being a Z51. I mean its loaded just does not have Navigation. So am I confused, the car does not have any Z51 badging on it at all. I seen a couple and they have plates under the hood that say z51 and on the sides, unless that is aftermarket. Look at the codes I found and if you can tell me what it is. This is a 2005 if that helps.

I have an 05 Z51 as well, no NAV. There are no badges on the car saying Z51. Those that have them, put them on afterward...not my cup of tea... Along with the cross drilled rotors, they are also larger in diameter than a base car, and you have different springs, shocks and sway bars...you get an engine oil cooler and a power steering cooler as well (not sure what the automatic cars came with as mine is a 6 speed).
Great cars- love my 05! Enjoy that thing!

It says Z51 on that label so it has Z51 already. The drilled rotors are standard with the z51.Back then that's one way you identified Z51,before they started throwing z51 parts on F55 cars.05's with drilled rotors AND "z51" on the option label are Z51. And no,no oil cooler on all vettes back then, another z51 goody.

You do have a base model coupe. Z51 is only an option. Its not a car model. The factory would not put Z51 badges on it any more than they would put HUD badges on it. Its an option not a model. You dont have a C6 Z51.

Many C6 forum members talk about having a Z51, but all they're doing is just using that as a shorthand for "C6 with the Z51 option package."

On pre-GS model vets, there is the base, the base car with z51 option, then the Z06 model.
Understand what all comes as a upgrade on the z51 package, and you will start to understand why its considered the step between a base car, and the z06 cars.
So yes, you have a Z51 corvette, and not just a base vet.
