Insulate THe Under Hood Fuse Panel?

If your talking about the low beam lights going out, then insulating the fuse panel may help, but the real cause of that issue is a break in the ground wire for the headlight circuit. With enough circuit heat, the broken wire expands ever so slightly, and breaks the circuit, thus the lights go out. When the circuit is cold, they work fine.
The real solution is to fix the broken wire, or get a new fuse panel which will eventually have the same problem down the road.
There is a DIY fix for the issue done with pictures by a forum member.
I copied it and made a PDF from the data.

This is fantastic DIY step by step...cudos. Only one lamp intermittently goes out for me. It looks like one circuit operates both low beam lamps; if the case I most likely have a ballast going out. Thoughts? Last few night drives had no issues. It's hard to notice w/o getting out to look as I have ridiculously bright fog lamps on all time.
Appreciate any advise.

The fuse panel at the engine compartment:
1) I would check the fuses (19) & (21) to make sure they are OK.
If they are OK, then
2) Then I would make sure that the low beam mini relay (47) is inserted all the way. Remove and re-install.
If there is still an issue, then it's probably the bulb, which I suspect you checked, or the ballast.

1) I would check the fuses (19) & (21) to make sure they are OK.
If they are OK, then
2) Then I would make sure that the low beam mini relay (47) is inserted all the way. Remove and re-install.
If there is still an issue, then it's probably the bulb, which I suspect you checked, or the ballast.
