Best Oil for 2010 Corvette Grandsport?
Just wanted to know what oil company I should use for my next oil change. I was thinking SAE 5W-30 Pennzoil Ultra Platinum.

I would check my owners manual, and go with what ever oil G.M. recommends. For my 'vette, it's Mobile 1.
That should be the same oil your dealer uses.
If my car develops engine problems, I don't want to hear any BS, that I didn't use the recommended oil, and that's why it spun a rod bearing.
I learned my lesson years ago, when I did my own oil changes and used Castrol GTX High Performance Oil, instead of the Quaker State the dealer used.

Because you've missed the million other oil threads since Oct 2012
Joe Gibbs LS30, but most people here won't run it because it's too expensive for them.

I use Royal Purple HP in the wife's 69 Camaro and in the 69 Corvette and the 99 Corvette that I had. As for the 13 GS, it's got less than 2,000 miles and it will go to the dealership for oil changes for awhile. Eventually, I will switch it to Royal Purple too. The HP is $13.00 a quart.

I was in Wal-Mart the other day and saw they now sell Royal Purple. That's why I'll stick with Mobil 1 as GM recommends.
There were differences in dino oil. 100% Synthetic is pretty much all the same and far better than any dino oil..

Mobil 1 just like the manual states, why bother to fool with something so simple.

Ive been using Pennzoil Ultra, however it was recently replaced with Pennzoil Ultra Platinum which is a 100% natural gas product - no dino oil. I will switch to it after my next track day.

Most synthetics are 50-75% dino oil. By that I mean products that were refined from oil originally. The only oil that has zero dino content is Pennzoil Ultra Platinum.

Walmart sells Mobil 1 as well, so by your logic you better find a new oil to use. In fact, Walmart is typically $5-$7 cheaper than other stores relative to the 5 qt jugs of Mobil 1.
