I've read all the post about how to fix the shifter problems on a 05, but the shifter on my 08 is different!!! Having to press the shifter forward to get out of park and I'm starting to get worried that this won't work forever!! Anyone have a fix without having to buy a new shifter? And should've bought a M6 is not the answer!!

Its the same problem as the 05 and the same fix.

Not 100% sure, but I think the shifters are different from 06 on.

They both have that solinoid that sticks and locks the shifter. In the Tech forum there is a thread that started out with the 05 fix and a few pages in someone found out the same problem and fix applies to later models too.
