Default Reserved parking

took the Corvette to Old Town Temecula (in SoCal) today for some wine and olive oil tasting. Saw this sign in a city parking lot. These should be everywhere!

They should replace half the handicapped with those.

Handicapped should be for vans with lifts or people in wheelchairs. If you're fit enough to walk up and down the mall you can park 50 ft farther out.

Hopefully, those signs are 24/7, not just put up for Memorial Day!

And for those who served and gave it all

I agree, but the only place I see them around here is at home depot.

I think most soldiers who were wounded but still "intact" so to speak would probably hesitate to use one of these spots for fear of a more seriously incapacitated brother needing it. Doesn't mean they shouldn't all be honored with it if they want to use it.

The example I would give is my father who fought in WWII refused a handicap placard after having a heart attack but a neighbor lady who had a lung removed used it to her full advantage. She would walk 1-2 mi a night with us but by god she had to park at the door of the mall.
