Matter of personal wants and needs. Either you want or need what is offered in the packages or you don't, not sure anyone on the forum can make that decision for you.
A lot of it depends also on how you are going to use your Vette. If used for long trips certain options are a must/want, used as a DD in all kinds of weather again some of the options are a must/want.
Used as a so called toy, garage queen than few options are needed.
Money not an issue than load it up.

What he said.
Here in Canada we use our vettes 4 months max per year and only on sunna beautiful days. So i couldnt care les for the 3lt package since i rarely use the car(always raining haha) it really dépends if Youre ready to dish out the money for the package.

In all seriousness though... you should make a list of things that an absolute yes vs things that you could live without. From there you will have a baseline trim to start looking at and see if the jump to the next level is financially worth it.

What I found is that after buying the 3LT and living with it a few years, there really aren't too many things I don't ever use, or wouldn't miss if I didn't have them. For me, a 3LT-equipped C6 is a nice car with the level of equipment I would expect a car like this to have. I have driven several 1LT models, and while they certainly don't qualify as a "stripper", they definitely lack most of the creature comforts my car has. And as others have said, if all those things really aren't important to you, that's why they offer the 1LT & 2LT. Just make sure "all those things" aren't as important to you over the long haul as you think they are.

I like my 1LT GS just fine. It was a deep leftover that the dealer couldn't peddle, so I got an incredible deal. Looking at KBB convinced me I wouldn't take a big a hit on the back end, so I bit. That said, my last Corvette was a FRC with no options, so I don't miss anything. Ultimately the choice is yours.

Depends on what model year you're talking about. Option packages 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, and 4LT changed from model year to model year.

I've owned them both. Current car is a 2012 1LT. I have grown to prefer the 1LT as I hate the power seat moving for ingress/egress and the reset every time you get in the car.
What I truly hate though is when I accidentally picked up the wife's fob on the old 3LT car. She is over a foot shorter than me, and that damn seat would conspire to crush me against the steering wheel with her seat setting. There I am reaching to fasten the seat belt, and I had to get to the seat controls to arrest the reset motion.
I really thought I would miss the HUD on the 1LT car, but it isn't a must have anymore. After owning this one for over a year now, I really don't miss the 3LT equipment.
However, I will say if you are planning to buy a convertible the 3LT might be worth it for the heated seats. On chilly nights the heater alone won't cut it with the top down.
