Help with ground
I know this has been covered before but I cant seem to locate the grounding point to ground 2 alpine amps, I know it is somewhere under the outer passenger tail light. Can someone guide me where it is and how to get the wire to it (0 gauge). I grounded the amps but they seem to be overheating and protection light is on so I'm guessing the issue is a grounding problem. I have them grounded to a screw under the carpet where it looks like its connected to the frame. I shaved it down to expose the metal.

my amps are grounded behind each door jamb. half way up the rear of each door opening behind the plastic panel...wish I had pics; but do remember they weren't hard to find. Never any issues

Do you have more than one amp? I have 2 Class AB amps that suck lots of juice. I got the 270XP alternator thinking it was the amperage, turns out it's something else, Im guessing ground.

Directly below outer tail light on the passenger side. There's a plastic piece that sits atop the stud holding the wiring harness.
Not sure why the pics were rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise in the posting process.
