What RPM does your LS 3 idle at?

I got a new to me 2012 GS with the A6 with 20,000 miles, I notice the idle seems low at 550RPM, is this normal? My C5 LS1 idled at 750RPM (MN6)

My 2010 A6 idles at 525/550 tops from day 1. Does not seem to hurt its performance.

My 2012 also idles about 550. From day one I've felt that was 50-100 rpm low.

'08, 525 to 550 RPM.

Good for gas mileage. As long as the idle is fast enough to charge the battery and maintain oil pressure it works.

Just a thought, maybe GM made the idle higher on the stick so it would not be as prone to stalling when letting the clutch out.

Mine's about 600 too. Seems just about right. Turns about 1700 at 80 mph.

Used to have a Datsun B-210 that turned 4400 at 70, but of course, it was a 1200 cc 4 cylinder. Had a hard time getting to 70.

And got about 31 mpg on the highway; so does my Vette. The Vette is an economy car.
