My then to be wife got a 1966 GTO for Christmas. I had a 1960 Ford Galaxy 500 XL Convertible. Had two kids and had a Pontiac Station Wagon but it had a 455 but still a very slow planet killing car. Still miss the GTO as it was almost as much fun as corvette. May have won in a straight line.

My first new car was a 1979 Dodge Challenger. It was a leftover dealer demo I bought in Jan 1980. It looked just like this one in the picture. Mine had the optional 2.6L 4 cyl. Great little car and trouble free for the 5 years I had it. My first new car that I ordered was my 2006 LMB Vette conv. that I still own.

Your response about HP got me thinking. I ordered my 1974 with the 350 V8, 2 bbl. I thought it had plenty of get up and go, which I guess it did, but it was only rated at 155 hp. That sure doesn't sound like much with a 350, compared to our LS3's that have 430 hp.

1981 Datsun long-bed pickup with a NapZ engine. I loved that truck! 200,000 miles of practically trouble-free romance. I should never have sold it when we left Hawaii, it probably had a ton of miles left.

2014 CRV and its a lease. Needed a rainy day alternative for days when I cannot ride or drive the Vette. Bike is always my first choice, Vette is number 2. CRV has 400 miles after 6 weeks. LOL
Never bought new because I always paid in cash and hate "instant depreciation" I imagine i will be buying the CRV at lease end and selling it for more than the residual because of the low miles.

The LN (Luxury Nova) package sent Nova into the luxury portion of the compact market; some actually thought of it as competing against a few high-end European imports. The Nova LN was called "the most luxurious compact in Chevrolet's history," with wide-back reclining front seats that "look and feel like big, soft lounge chairs." LN equipment included ad*ditional sound insulation, map pockets, an electric clock, a smoked instrument lens, and a day/night mirror. Swing-out quarter windows could be ordered for the coupe. "Thanks to LN," the sales brochure announced, "Nova's image will never be the same again."
305 cu in (5.00 L) with a three-speed automatic, don't have any pictures of it in digital form.
