A '68 Lemans Blue 6-cylinder 3-speed Camaro, sticker was $2,700. I was 18 and it was all I could afford. It was in September 1968 and the '69s were just coming out so I got the car for $2,200.
But in May of 1969 I bought a 327 engine and dropped it in (it was out of a '69 that was in a wreck). My dad was not real happy about me taking my new car apart but he never said much.

A 1969 Dodge Super Bee after I returned from Vietnam in October 1968. A bare bones muscle car!

Appropriately, a 67 Vette Vert.
Had to learn to shift a manual tranny on my uncle's Mercedes while waiting for it to be built.
