Default HID Xenon Projector Driving Lights

Decided to install HID Projector Xenon lights in my 2011 GS. 2" Projectors have white angel eyes. I will update this thread when they get installed. Some picture of the process are below.

Very nice would be great if you could edit your pix to include what you were doing at the time and any difficulties along the way. Seem apparent but would like to know what you ran into.

Halo's arrived. Just a quick setup of how I am going to layout the amber halo ring around the angel eye.

Looks great you are very adventuresome. What sort of load resistors do you need if any?

Load resistors included with the halo rings. Not sure if I want the Halo rings to blink or operate as DRL yet. I can tap into the turn signal or DRL power still deciding.

Did you mount the LED inside the housing or out? I will probably tackle the headlights next. Wanted to start with the driving lights as it still allows me to drive the car at night.

Looks nice but I would ditch the amber DTR lights for white LED's that change to amber on turns only. They look amber in the pix. JMHO.

I mounted it outside. I'm tad lazy...
There are many waterproof Dual-Intensity LED strips available on Amazon.
You can just stick it around the headlight. Around $40 a pair.
Installation can be done in 30 min.

Or if you want to install inside the housing, you can use Oracle's Concept LED Strips(with optional Dual-intensity)
http://www.automotivelightstore.com/...dstrips-1.aspx

Changes to amber with turn light.

still allows me to drive the car at night.

I like the angel eyes. Not crazy about the amber halo ring. Kind of redundant. Just my opinion.

Very creative and ambitious.

The halo rings are secured by picture hanging wire and epoxy. Once the HID is on it will be hard to see either angel or halo rings. I am considering wiring the white angel eye to stay on all the time (DRL) while the amber halo rings come on with the turn signal.

Thanks for all the responses!

I'd be interested to see what the output is with just the fogs. I installed HID fogs and they really light up the road. Are your expectations more about the look or will you get a lot of light also?
