Hi Guys,
This video is from our 2005 Corvette Z06. Thought you might get a kick out of it.
I took the pole against Porsche Icon Wolfe Henzler and won the race. This was also on DOT Toyo tires
Enjoy
Thanks
Lou Gigliotti

Yes. 05 Z06. That was a great car. It was one of our R&D cars for our parts also.
We used a steel frame on this car because SCCA did not have any data on the Aluminim frame/roll cage. I think that car was sold to Whelen. We built about 9 Corvettes for World Challenge and Grand Am Racing.

Sorry guys, I didn't get your question. We had early C6 Z06 body work, the World Challenge never let us run the 7 liter engine but GM wanted the car called the Z06 (back when GM liked us)
The Z06 was on a one-year hiatus in 2005 but GM knew it was coming back so we had our big parts on the car.
Still it was not the 7 liter engine but we had the full wide Suspension etc.
We had our LG Coil over shock package on this car along with our LG G1 Sway bar package. Spherical bearings, Hyper coil springs, LG "SUPER RAM" air intake ram air. developed for the C6 on the World Challenge cars.
SO Technically it was not a ZO6, we did still run a steel frame in world challenge, never running the Aluminum frame.
We did run the Magnesium cross members and a Bosch Engine management with Bosch Competition ABS. No TC was allowed unless we ran stock ECU.
WE had a 72" wide LG Motorsports wing and our Front splitter with aero tunnels.
Now that was a race car!!
Yes, We Race, You Win
Thanks

In 2006 we were beating the Cadillac too often so GM got SCCA and World Challenge to add 190 pounds after my win at Utah, beating the Cadillac by 3 tenths of a second in the race. (150 added weight PLUS 40 Pounds of rewards weight)
We had the Championship lead after Utah but lost the championship by 2 points to the Porsche in 06 but beat the Caddilac, Pilgrim, by 4 for second in the championship.
Too much politics in racing. We got them to take 75 pounds back off after a call from my lawyer!!
We still have that car. We are rebuilding it after Drissi banged it up at Long Beach 2 years ago. With all the moving and new HQ facility changes, we are waiting till after we move to finish it. We have the New chassis finished already.
thanks and Sorry for the confusion. THIS is the car in the Video!!
