Default C6 Front Air Dam

How many of you have removed their air dam? My C6 doesn't have one and the temp runs about 195 whether in traffic or on the interstate. Why do I need it?

Have been told it helps with engine cooling and provides some down force at speed.

you remove that and you are asking for trouble. The fact you dont have one surprises me. Its there to direct air up and across the radiator. You are the first ive seen to make this statement of running cool.

Did you buy the car that way or did you take it off yourself?

In any case, you probably want to put one on. They're relatively cheap and easy to install.

Center dam created a air void behind it so the radiator will draw air through it correctly.

The side dams deflect air from under the car to around it instead, so with them removed, you going to get more car lift at speeds.

To short bus it, you want all three back on the car.

As for front splitter and side skirts, these help to push more out around the car then under it, which will create front end down force instead of the stock life (if you use an actual working splitter/side skirts, and not ones for show alone).

my car is lowered and i got tired of scraping the side ones and seeing them look like crap...i doubt that having them beat up and splitted will generate any down force up front..i do also have an aftermarket front spoiler that helps kept the front end down....
but if your car is stock might as well replace them..for the price of all 3 of them is good to have them....
