Default Car shows -How've you guys been doing

I took mine to a couple shows last year, didn't win anything, sorta thought I was out of place taking a brand new car to a show filled with restored C1, C2, C3s, Chevelles, Camaros, 57 Chevys, etc. Very fun time though gawking and talking.

Since car shows are still fun even when you don't win, I went to 2 shows this past week, one a gentlemens club and the other a church (just to even thing out lol), Won a trophy at both. The gentlemens club my class was 2000 and up. I was given the nod over two mustangs. At the local church, my class was 1980 and newer Vettes. There were a total of 10 Vettes in this class - a C3, a C6 (me), 2 C7s, and the rest a mix of C4/C5. The C3 won best of class and I won a show winner. This was a participant judged show, and you could not judge in your own class.

Cool to win, but it still feels like cheating since the car is basicaly still new. How have you gents been doing showing your C6s?

PP, I've seen many pics of your vette, so I've no doubt you need an add on to the house for your trophies.

Thanks tennblk!

They are fun when the weather is cool. My last one was to hot, not going again till fall.

Around here if you have not spent $4000 plus on under hood dress up and hood liner murals your not going to win squat anymore. Used to be a really clean stock under hood was good, but not anymore.

I've put my cars in a few shows and brought home some awards. I just do my best to prepare them, and enjoy the time with other enthusiasts. If I take something home it's just icing on the cake.

I was lucky enough to win the C6 class at a show put on by a local Corvette club. I thought that was pretty cool!

I don't mind sitting all day at a couple shows a year. I'd rather be driving it!

Congrats. I go to a lot of shows just to see the other cars. Never entered mine. Must be a good feeling to bring home a trophy.

Bling seems to be the way to win. They are usually clean also, but the extras seem to help.

I went and paid for entry but did not want to be judged. I don't have a toothbrush in my wash locker.

I just want to park inside rather than in the main lots. My brother went to them for many years with his 67 and collected many trophies he said they were a PIA to store and threw them away. Ended up selling his car at the last one he attended.
