Default sold my C6

Well its been 7 years since I bought my 2005 C6. I don't know where the time has gone. I will be selling my car today, I just have had enough of the GM drama with the 6 sp cars. After more than 2 years of fighting the column lock problems with no end in sight. I have had dealers fix it twice , I have done the by pass also. I am having DBS now also. Dealer cant find a problem so I have to band aid car with battery tender. I wont be buying anymore GM cars in the future because if the Corvette is the best they have, why would I want a cheaper one. Thanks for all the great information on this site and I will also be leaving here too. Good luck to all of you with your dream cars. We all just want to be proud of the cars we drive and love.

Bob

Every Manufacturer has lemons, I have had my C6 for over 8 years with next to no issues with it. It still drives like it is brand new.
Good luck with whatever you decide on.
I had a Mercedes SL500 that was in the shop more than it was out, and that was twice the price of the C6.
Sometimes crap happens.

My 78k mile c6 z51 manual has been utterly reliable. Sorry to hear you had issues.

Best of luck with your new ride.

Let us know what new sports car you get.

i've heard the 05's have had their share of problems so why not move up into a newer year with less problems? unless you just want to be rid of g.m. for good which i understand. i've had my honda cr-v since 06 and never had one little problem with it. the damn thing just keeps running like the energizer rabbit. good luck in your endevors.

Sorry you had problems. Don't sound to bad to me compared to other cars I've owned.
My 07 has been pretty rock solid for 134,000 miles so far.

Here's an idea....shop for your next car from a dealer that doesn't have a "service dept" as obviously those cars never break down....
