I used to know a guy whose business was doing used car prep for dealers. When he got a car in the first thing he did was clean it out and throw everything away. Even the floormats. He told me it was standard practice none of the dealers cared. Maybe the same attitude exists in the dealers prep area as well. It was just another used car being made to look pretty.

there's a site called dealerrater.com. post whatever you like there and lots will see it. I bought a c5 from a local delaer once and the guy stole the glasss top and wheels.Needless to say I never went back to him.

The way I see it, both you and the dealer are negligent, but then, we've only heard one side about the dealer

I would go in and calmly speak to the manager of the dealership. Explain that you know that they were removed after the test drive, and that if they are not replaced ASAP, you will have no choice but to contact the California Attorney General for Consumer Fraud, as well as the Better Business bureau.. Also advise them that you'll bad mouth them on every chevy website you can find..
I bet you get your mats pronto.

Do this in person on Saturday around 3pm. This will get their attention

I would be pissed off too!
Anybody that would just forget about losing $100 worth of mats is a patsy and would let anybody steal from them and would like it.
As for getting help from GM...forget that..your right..customer services is worthless!
Had a brake issue with mine that could have been life threatening and GM didnt care as for their $1000 harmonic balancer junk!

Heads up - shots fired!! You'd be amazed at what I'm responsible for. Selling the car is definitely a solution. It may not be a solution you like. If you are seriously that butt-hurt over some floor mats then sell the car and be done with it. Otherwise you're signing yourself up for disappointment. And, good job crying about it on the internet.
