Default Today's Car Show

Today my Corvette club along with our sponsoring dealership, put on a charity fund raising car show. Several hundred cars participated. My 1978 and 2012 both brought home 1st place trophies in their class. A great day for all.

Every generation was present. Oldest Corvette was a 1954. Wished the weather would have been better. Randy Gradishar, former Denver Bronco was there and an autographed jersey of his was raffled off. There was a USS Arizona Pearl Harbor survivor there with a truck sporting a memorial paint job. Amazing story about how this man survived the attack. His truck needed a new engine, so after he left the show, the dealership announced they were going to replace his engine for him free of charge.

Was there too. Nice show but less C2s than last year, with a lot more attendees. Went to the Jaguar event down at Cheyenne Mountain afterward. 3 Aston Martin Vanquishes parked next to each other. Chatted with an AF Colonel who owned one. Some really great Jags there, beautifully restored. My daughter was with me and the weather was perfect. Nice day, congrats on your wins! First time I've seen the C7 in person, as I mentioned on another thread. Plenty of them there. Looks like I voted for your '78, too!

That was a great gesture from the car dealership to help out the Pearl Harbor Survivor. I'm not sure the dealerships in my area would be so kind after the way I've been treated!

Kudos on the wins Rocky.

Looks like it was a raw, nasty day in the Springs.
