Default Rear Spolier Paint Matched Question

I have a 2007 coupe that is Monterey Red Metallic and I want to order a painted GM Full width spoiler and was concerned with the color match.

I had a SLP spoiler on my '01, but it was Torch Red and I believe that is an easier color to match.

Does anyone have a Monterey Red that installed the pre-painted spoiler and if so where did you order it from? I would like to stick with a matching spoiler, bit if there are issues with teh color matching I will go with a carbon fiber instead.

RPI does a good match. The problem is the angle and light reflection. Will not match at all angles. Even factory painted ones have this problem. No big deal.

I know Josh does a great job and that is where I ordered the one for my C5, but then again Torch Red is not Monterey Red.

If your talking about the GM full width spoiler, I just ordered and put one on mine. Crystal Red Metallic and I was very impressed with the color match in the garage. Haven't had it out in the sun yet. Paid $270 shipped

I wouldn't worry about the color match. ....mine came back good from rpi.... has the same amount of metallic in it as the factory paint job. ... which was what I was worried about. ...(mine is Inferno orange metallic)

But....I saw a real carbon fiber one on your color and it really looked great. ...

Thanks, I am crossed between a painted to match GM full length or the carbon fiber ZR1 Extended from C7 Carbon.

Have you seen the extended in person?....when I finally did I decided it was just too much.... if I had a z06 or zr1 maybe...... thought it might look a little too poser for a reg vette..... stock size zr1 wing seems just right.....The full width looks very good but just not as aggressive for my taste. .. look around this forum and you will find plenty of pics of your color with all styles....

Abernathy Chevrolet on that auction site. They list them for $286 shipped but accept offers And I think you'll be happy with the GM spoiler for an otherwise stock appearing car. I think the ZR1 and extended version look good on more aggressively optioned cars i.e aftermarket wheels etc. But they just come off as an "add on" on anything less. The GM spoiler suits the stock appearance better imho

I no it is larger then the stock ZR1 and GM full length, but I do have the wide body kit, and the 19zx12 wheels with the 325/30/19's on the rear and it is lowered and a bushing cut, so it may work well.

I tried the GM parts house and because they stopped painting the Monterey Red in 07, they no longer offer the GM spoiler in that color, so it appears an after market item only.

OEM factory victory red just purchased and installed. Got it from Chris at SDPC from this forum. $243 shipped. Good guy to deal with.

I realize that the ones that come from GM will be alb=most if not a perfect match, but GM does not offer the Monterey Red any longer. I was hoping to see a few pictures of Monterey Red spoilers.
I know what RPI does and I am leaning that way, except I have also heard good thinks about TKO and they have the same spoiler and it is $65.00 cheaper then RPI's. But for an additional $90.00 I can order teh C7 carbon Extended version.

Decisions Decisions.

TKO does a great job with their hydrocarbon and clear coat. Have had mine since 08 and looks brand new. Cleary is perfect so I bet their paint will be the same. Ed is a great guy also.

Thanks, I guess now I just need to decide if I go color match, or carbon fiber.
