i might start trying that, just for fun. but up until now, i back in. i like driving right out, and I'm favored to back in because of the side i park on making the wall in my way if i pull straight in

I pull in and pull out...I hit the garage about 40mph, yank the Pbrake, crank the wheel, and slide to a stop on the left side of the garage, nose pointing out. Sometimes I vary and slide to the right side of the garage.

It is easier to back into a large space (the street) than into a small one. I think people who back into spaces waste more time than people who pull in. Who can't back out of a spot faster than they can back in?

Back in...just about everywhere in both the Vette and Yukon. It all started years ago when I had a car with wicked blind spots. It was much easier to see what was coming when I could just pull out...still holds true in the Vette. Now, still living in an apt, less of the car is out of the garage when I can see what is coming. Plus, with having the garage being as tight as it is, it's easier to use the mirrors to make sure I don't hit the shelving I have to get close to so I can still get out. Not to mention, if I ever have to make a quick exit someplace, it's much faster and easier to pull out.

I currently park in an extra wide one car garage. The stairs into the house are on the right side as one looks into the garage. For this reason I always back in so my side faces the stairs. Backing in also lets me use the passenger side mirror to get closer to the wall without fear of miscalculating and scraping something. If I have a passenger they get in/out when the car is outside.
