Default So the Corsa Sports are heavy...

So far I've had the Corsa Sport axle back on my car for about a week now and I LOVE the sound. That said, I'm a performance oriented guy and from what I've read they're about 15-16lbs HEAVIER than the stock system. I never want to add weight to a car, and wanted to know if there's anything that can be swapped in the rear of this car to offset that difference.

Get a lighter battery.

Btw...I had no idea Corsa Sports were that much heavier. I know I had them on my Z06 and they were a few pounds lighter than stock. Maybe different for base..???

Did you have the dual mode exhaust? I had the base model exhaust, no valves or anything. I read these are 15lbs heavier than the base system.

I must be losing my mind here, I thought I read the opposite and they did feel heavier. Boxed to ship with thick packing materials and a couple or towels to protect the tips the package weighed 68lbs. Has anyone weighed the stock system?

Found the list, I do not know how to link it.

Z06 OEM and aftermarket weight list. (Search for that)

They are 2 lbs lighter than stock.

Wouldn't that mean then that they are heavier than the non-npp base coupe exhaust?

I'm pretty sure Corsa is lighter than stock. Usually stock exhausts are heavier than any aftermarket models

This is driving me nuts. So they are in fact heavier... Why would their website indicate lighter. Anyone swapped to an Optima battery?

The stock setup on my GS which is non-NPP weighs 42lbs. I just installed the Sport so I had the stock system laying around and just weighed it. So does anyone know the exact weight of the Sports?
