Great trip in C6 with son.
Long summer but finally had a 5-day trip this weekend to a family wedding in Michigan and put just under 2,200 miles on my C6. Did a loop from Warroad, MN via Fargo and then due East through Duluth and the UP and then down to Grand Rapids to the wedding. Then left early Sunday and traveled south through Chicago and Twin Cities along I-94/90 all the way to Fargo and then back to Warroad. Fall colors are starting now so anyone looking for a color tour get your engines warmed up for this weekend and next.
My son and I traveled in the Corvette together, I drove down to Fargo to pick him up after he got off work. My wife drove her Explorer separately as she is visiting the family for another 10-14 days, yeah - oops - did I say that out loud?
Even let son drive for about two hours on the return trip, he works second shift and just didn't feel that alert to take the responsibility before then as his sleep pattern was messed up. Told me it was the best vacation he'd ever taken, even if it was to a wedding to satisfy his mom! And for me, having nearly 5 days of just he and I to chat about life and his future without his mom "helping" made the trip perfect for me.
Saw a number of C4, C5 and C6's along the way; surprised we only saw one C7 the entire trip. It's now about a month more if weather holds up here to get a few more miles in before putting mine to bed for the winter.
Life doesn't get much better than a road trip in a C6.

Great story and trip
My son likes riding in the Corvette too, but since he is just 16 and got his license not too long ago has not worked his way up to driving yet......

Glad you enjoyed it with your son.
The one-on-one trips with your kids or grandkids create the best lasting memories for both of you.

Warroad? Hockey Town, USA and home of TJ Oshie. We've had many a trip to your neck of the woods for extended family fishing trips. Great memories that I'll cherrish forever especially since Dad passed in March and his brother in July.
Glad you got some quality time in with your son. Sounds like you both enjoyed yourselves immensely.
Did i forget to mention home of Marvin Windows, too Great little diner next door where we used to eat breakfast.....gosh, great memories. Thanks for the post!

cool story. road trips are fantastic for this very reason. you're really forced to sit there and talk about a ton of topics you may have not dove into with that person since you have so much time to kill and nothing better to do
