Biloxi Casino Trip - Protection for Front End
So 4 of us from church (1 C7 one week old, 2 C6's, and 1 C5) are heading from Houston to Biloxi to **** away cash. There are a lot of old threads on bras on the forum but nothing recent that I could find. I'm thinking of the Speedlingerie bra for my Jet Stream grand sport. Its $599 plus another $199 for the mirror protectors. Has anyone bought one? I see many Vettes on I-10 with no bra at all... in face I don't ever think I've seen one.... period. This is a 6-7 hour trip on a very crappy interstate (aren't they all). Seems most everyone doesn't have one? Interested in your thoughts.... thanks

i make that trip all the time, ive never seen the need to spend that much to make a trip. Just wash it when you get to your destination ans wash it when you get home. Its a car, drive it and show it off.

tip: parking at the Hard Rock is corvette friendly. Next door Beau Rivage you'll scrape. But you can easily walk there. IP, just north, is good too for 5th floor or above. Good stop-over is NOLA @ Hotel Provincial #5 facing MS river.

Safety Car
I just completed a 9,000 mile trip and used the stretch bra and mirror covers. Keeps the bugs off and minimal protection against rocks, easy to put on and off.

Are you going there during Cruisin the Coast beginning Oct. 5th? Great time the whole week. All kinds of classics and muscle cars (including Vettes). Dennis Gage from My Classic Car is always there filming his show.

Get security to approve parking on first floor ground level near the motorcycle parking. Tell them you have reservations & it's either that or they pay for damages to the fleet. As long as they know so you don't get towed. While you got their attention ask them to keep an eye out (not that there's a problem).
When you get the rooms ask for corner rooms facing the Hwy. The higher the better. Be sure to visit Hard Rock as well. Short walk.

I bought a GM bra for the C6 when I got my first one. It has been on two Route 66 journeys, numerous shorter trips, and it's on the car now for a trip Monday. It has held up great, fits like a glove, and does what it was designed for. It keeps the bugs, and the rock chips away. Plus it's a lot cheaper, around 120 bucks. Just some info for you to consider.

I have had a speedLingerie bra for about 6 years and use it when I go on long trips. I have been very happy with it. It can be tough to get on particularly when it’s new but I gotten the hang of it. It is expensive so I suggest you consider how often you will use it. I do not have the mirror protectors.
I just got back from a trip to Florida (Keys) and stopped overnight at the IP in Biloxi.
Also I am in Sugar Land and would be happy to show it to you, PM if interested. However that can be a trip in itself from Galveston!

I used a silver stretch bro (my car's a he) on my silver '05 and it does bugs and fine stuff. I drove my '11 from Wisconsin to Arizona bro-less and no issues.
Best advice...you lead and squirt gravel on the parishoners!!!

I also have the GM bra for traveling and it has saved me twice. Just a few weeks ago on I 10 going to Baton Rouge a 18 wheeler slung something up and it hit the front of my car then the windshield. It left a Mark on the bra and put deep scratches on my driver's side of the windshield and then flew over the top of the car. I was scared to look under the bra so I waited til I got home. Not a Mark on it. My insurance agent couldn't believe I had no body damage when he saw my windshield.
I think they sell for a little under $100.00. To me it has paid for it self more then once. I just put it back on my car yesterday because the love hugs are out again. It saves my paint from having bug guts eating into it. Another reason I love having it.

I bought a GM black front cover for about $100 for the C6. I have a speedlingerie on the C5 and it is more expensive, but offers no better protection.
I have no problem getting my vettes in the Beau garage. You can go up a few floors and park farther away from the elevator and have less chance of others parking too close.

The C6 is fine, just go at a slight angle to the incline. You can see the bad one because of all the marks on the concrete from the lowriders that don't slow down. It's the second incline going in. The C5Z lightly rubs the front air scoop on one level, but that scrapes even in my own driveway.

First stone chip I got was in the middle of the hood somewhere around the 15K mile area. Decided at that point a bra wasn't for me. It's currently a 10-15 foot car well beyond the 100K mark. Pristine went out the window a long time ago.
