Sure. I had a Bose, non - nav in my 2005 and I put in a Nav unit from a 2009. Love it. I also added BT and iPhone plug at the same time.

Yes but it's the exact same, you won't be upgrading if that's your plan.

My radio was a 05 6 disk radio as well (non-nav).

I bought an adapter from Ray @ Kawal.com. All you need is the cheapest adapter. It is a super easy install with step by step pictures on his site. To be safe, I would check to see if your XM button is working first. If it is not, you would need to buy more/different parts and have a dealer or someone with a Tech 2 turn it on.
