what makes you think there might be one??What info did carfax/autocheck provide??

I'm just looking to make sure I've covered my bases. The carfax and autocheck for this car are clean. My understanding is that there can be significantly more detail in the GM VIS though as things like warranty claim history and warranty coverage status are included in VIS, but not in carfax or autocheck reports. Thus I've asked here for the VIS report.

Any GM dealer can check VIS.

You walk into any GM service dept. ANY. Ask them re the vin for the IVH report. It's free and it's GM's own list of things done to the car mostly on TSBs, recall, warranty, etc. Usually not routine service.

Thanks guys. There were a couple of members that responded with the information. From this, I think I'm going to pass on this car primarily due to the dishonesty of the seller regarding the oil pump replacement that the VIS report uncovered.

The great members of this community may well have saved me ALOT of headaches in the future.
