Default Battery Swap

Hello
I have a Z06 and would like to change my battery but do not want to lose my memory settings, mostly the Kenwood audio system. Is there a way this can be done?
Thanks

Some of the newer head units will retain settings for a minute or two. I was thinking a battery tender through the cigarette lighter but some advise against it. I think a 12v motorcycle battery may be your only option. I'm not sure if the risk of using jumper cables between the batteries is worth the risk of sparks flying.

There is a 12V device you can purchase that goes in the lighter slot. I think its from Radio Shack. It will hold the settings on of my friends has one. When I changed mine I did not loose anything but I did the swap in less than 4 minutes.

I also did mine in less than 4 minutes and only issue was to re-index the windows...not a big deal.

Kenwood is a modern unit...I can't imagine that it would lose its' settings when power is cut. The oem radio doesn't.

You can do it with jumper cables.
