I use the Yellow Number 26 all the time. I don't use the#7 glaze but use the Meguiars ultimate polish prior to the yellow # 26 or I use Wolfgang deep gloss sealant

Both are long time hits and very popular. If you want something very glossy in one product consider moving to Wolfgang Concours, Four Star UPP, Menzerna Powerlock, or Blackfire Sealant. These are all pure sealants with a lot of gloss and reflection. Add them to a properly polished surface and your gonna make everyone else jealous.

#7 is good stuff. First job out of high school was in a body shop & had to use #7 to get out all of the machine buff marks. I still use it to this day to get out the swirls from washing etc.
Never used #26.

After last week's trip to Kerbeck's Toys For Tots (120 miles each way), my black GS still looked ok but did have some imperfections (Is black ever perfect?). Anyway, I found a bottle of #7 Meguiars Glaze in my "wax cabinet" and decided to use it with my 7424 buffer.
I was impressed by the results. After buffing the car, I shut off the lights in the garage and used a flashlight to inspect the paint. The result was as good as you can get on black paint. I finished it off with Meguiar's NXT. Beaufiful!!

Heck, if you want an even easier sealant, you could try Optimum Opti-Seal. Easy on, no off, and a few sprays / a bottle goes a lonnng way. With a finishing pad on the Porter Cable, I can have the Vette sealed in 10 minutes.

I like Magulliaguaers #26 on dark colors. NXT is better on lighter colors. Ultimate Wax is better than either though.

These spray on walk-away sealants are indeed easy to use. So are the new coatings and they last a year or more with one application.

Glazes are temporary at best. In pure glaze form, they are simply fillers and dissipate quickly in the environment.

I haven't had any experience yet with the coatings / "hard coat" / "clear coat"-type products yet, but have heard good things from friends on some of the products from the bigger names.

I can say I used to use Opti-Seal on the last winter car I cared about / kept clean (pre-beater era) and still had a pretty decent bead come first wash in the spring. A little more durable than my current go-to AIO (Chemical Guys Black Light) it seems.

Number 7 is a great product. I use #6 instead of 26 for wax.

I've used #7 for years and years. However I'm now using #21, synthetic sealant 2.0 and am very happy with the outcome.

We use #26 yellow wax with very good results. It seems to work a bit better on darker colors, we think.

We trudge on.

NXT is a cleaner + sealant in one, I would expect it to remove anything that #7 filled in (the job of a glaze).

If anything I would go the other way around, but really the two don't make sense to use since you're either sealing then glazing the other way around each having a downside.

I love both products and swear by NXT for all my daily drivers

I waxed the car with my normal Meguiars Gold Class + Carnauba. Great shine. About 2 weeks later, I used the new Gold Glass Plus Carnauba Quik Wax and was absolutely blown away by the results! The Torch Red popped like I had never seen before, and I've used Meg's on my red T/As for years--as well as my black '06. I don't know what the synergy was, but it will be my normal routine--with just the Quik Wax in between. It goes on almost as easily as quick detailer. I highly recommend it.
