2009 Corvette Z06 Xm Antennas
Here is a good one the body shop removed my mirrors from my car and when they reinstalled them the XM does not work on my Navi system. I am able to get the "Xm Preview Channel 1" and Channel ) which shows my XM Radio Number. I have spent a few hours with several different reps on the phone with XM and we were not able to get a signal.
Also the body shop who is a close friend of mine just removed the mirrors and we inspected the wires and there is no crimps or damage that we can see with the naked eye.
Last we even reset the battery for an hour and tried to get a signal with no help.
Do I need to purchase new mirrors? Can I just buy the antenna wire?

Yes we hooked up the separate wire which is separate from the mirrors!
Still I am stuck does anyone know or familiar with the fact that if this happens you have to go back to the dealer to get it reprogrammed?

Nothing should need to be re-programmed. Are you getting "No Signal" at the top of the screen? If so check the XM receiver in the back over the left wheel well and make sure everything is still plugged in tight there. It's possible the antennas became damaged some how when the mirrors were off.

I can hear the xm preview channel which is channel one and of course the radio I'd on zero. Nothing else.
Been on the phone with xm four times including withe there top support nothing.
The antenna wires looked fine but again they could be fragile.

The connector for the antenna is a FAKRA. It is possible that the actual antennas barrel connector inside the yellow FAKRA came loose. You could look up into the kick panel, remove the rubber plug that hides the wiring going into the door and inspect the connector. There is enough slack to pull it out. You can also open the door and pull back the accordion rubber connector tunnel between the door and the body, find the antenna wire and pull it out enough to check the connector. The connector is wrapped in foam. Both the rubber plug and the rubber accordion are easy to push back in place. Check both sides since the car has 2 antennas. Also, if the antennas wire got cut or nicked, it is my experience the antenna/radio will not receive a signal. The stations will clearly say no signal. I've been looking to purchase a new antenna, the part number off the antenna is 10380503 for an Antenna ASM - DIGITAL. I've checked at the online GM parts sites and the number doesn't show. I hope this info helps.
