Why would you even consider a snake oil coolant?

Dex Cool has proven to do a great job and only needs changing every 5 years.

My thoughts exactly. Never understood the mentality of changing something for the sake of just changing something. YMMV

Evans is pure Propylene Glycol. This is all marketing hype and half-truths. If you want to run a Propylene Glycol based anti-freeze just run something that is advertised as pet friendly at about 1/10 the price.
