Newer is always better....that definitely weighs in as a huge factor as well. A person in the market for a Z06 could easily jump into a GS that is newer, with warranty, and better creature comforts. All things that you won't get in a Z06 of equal value. Hence why I say, it takes someone special to want the car.
I have been considering the jump to a 11-13 Z06 but this head issue has me sketched out.

Really not as huge a deal as this forum makes it seem. If you want a Z06 you will most likely be fine. If you wanna be absolutely SURE simply factor in an extra 3k to have the heads done by any good shop.
I have been searching for a while, and just last week bought this 2012 3LT, 14k miles on it, one prior owner, paid $42,900. Couldn't pass it up. Original sticker price was $69,200.

Yeah there is a vendor down in the Los Angeles area that has some good reviews for this. Can't recall the name right now.
Edit, found the company....American Heritage in Harbor City CA. Not too far from me.
