I'd say the wheel is 1/2" too big. It will work, but the sidewall might look a little odd. Not sure about safety. Probably safer than going the other way and putting a 245 on a 7.5" wheel.

GS front wheels
I have GS wheels on my C6 i have a wide rear only but I have the GS wheeks on the front with the stock C6 tire size. The tire has slight cupping. The car drive fine handles better no issuse I can send pics if you like

can the stock front base size tires be used on a factory z06 or grandsport wheel?
yes could u please send me pics appreciate it. am also considering widebody kit on rear.
