Seat Cushion Repair
My fat butt did smush my seat cushions.
The kit from West Coast Corvettes solved the problem!
There is a cloud of dirty words floating out over the Gulf of Mexico from the drawstring breaking about 5" inside the gather of the cover.
That and manhandling the seat in and out of the car without a proper amount of space. Glad I didn't opt for the Z06 now! Being able to take the roof off was a God-send.
I was able to get all of the foam parts placed and glued in without cutting any hog-rings. Which was good since the instructions were trying too hard to be for both the C5 and C6 and didn't really show the locations well.
All's well that ends well, and my tush appreciates the extra padding.

Yeah, that's a good upgrade. I actually prefer the zip-ties to the hog rings. The hardest part I dealt with was getting the spring clip off of the seat recliner. That was worth a few words thrown out over the plaines of the midwest.

You can hook the spring out with a crochet needle---takes about 10 seconds. That tip was posted here a few years ago, so I can't take credit.
