Default car cover and battery tender

How do you guys do it? I'd really rather not have the cord up against my paint under the cover. Any way around this or should I wrap the cord with something?

I just found the plushest microfiber towel in my kit and then placed it on the fender where the cord would touch the paint.

Use the cigarette adapter, run the cord across the drivers seat (so you don't forget its hooked up),run out the bottom of the door and close the door...

I lay a towel on fender for the cord. Then lower the hood down on folded towel and put cover on. No rocket science here. Lol

I know it's not rocket science. First year ive put a car in hiberation. I just figured someone had something they may have rigged up for cord management or quick connect on the outside of the car. That's why I lIke this forum.

Check out forum vendor Top Flight Reproductions. They sell an adaptor that is permanently mounted to your car (5 minute installation) and has a quick release plug that mounts to your front grill. Takes two seconds to attached and remove the tender. Does not interfere with a cover. No open hoods, doors, windows. I put a small shelf on the wall in front of my car and leave the tender there all the time, plugged in and ready to go. Pull the car in, attached the connector and walk away. Surprised more people don't use this thing. Probably the best mod I have bought for my car.

Same here. Put the cord on the microfiber and then fold it in half. This way the wire is inside of the cloth and just lie it on the fender.

While we don't have to "hibernate" our cars in So. Cal., whenever I leave town for a few days, I always put it on a trickle charger.

I too, just snake the cable to the floor, via the engine compartment. No need for worrying about scratching the paint with the cable.

I mounted mine with the ring terminals to the battery and fished the other male/female plug down by the radiator - just plug it in and leave the hood and the cover on the car.
The top flight product looks really cool as an option

I agree the grill mount is the way to go but I also have been running it up from underneath by the radiator only takes a second can keep hood closed and cover on.

As has been said,I run the wire up next to the engine right to the wire connector. No wire hanging over fender or wrapped in a towel, which I think is not safe.
