I have a 2012 base coupe (bought used) with the QX3 chrome Speedline "starfish" wheels. But I'm just really not a fan of the spoke design. Like the GS wheel, in my opinion, the spokes are too "thin"; I'd like something a little more "meaty" so there's a more substantial/"chunky" chromed area--like the old Gumbys for example.

So here's my thought/question: since I'd prefer keeping my GM car all GM, I'm thinking of buying a set of C7 chrome base wheels since they have a heavier spoke design. Has anyone put C7 base wheels on their C6? I'd really appreciate seeing some photos of C6 cars with either chrome or silver C7 base wheels.

Better question, with the C-7 rims, what are the distance clearances from the inside of the rim to the outside of the stock calibers.

Hence the rims are 1" larger and what clearance is gained to go to what ZR-1 type calipers and rotors?
