C6 2006 model manual hood release will not open the hood. Plenty of advice on how to open a C4 corvette with the same issue but nothing on how to bypass the C6 manual hood release problem. Help....any advice would be appreciated. Larry in Pharr Texas.

does it feel like the latch is still being controlled by the cable? is the release "loose" and feel unconnected?

I read a post a long time ago that said you can release the latches by lowering the rear of the wheel wells and releasing the latches with a long screwdriver. Maybe someone can find the post for you. Good Luck!

There may not be an easy way. Best case would be that the cables are still intact but just have slack in them. From what I have read, you may
be able to use vise gripes or something and pull the on cables where the manual release lever is. If cable is broken, you may have to take the wheel liners out and try to get to the latches and release each one manually.
