If you had to to give up your C6 for a 4 seater
I'm going to have to get rid of my C6 soon as its my daily driver and not quite so practical with 2 little kids. Wondering what other people have looked at? I've been reading about the challenger hellcat and the GT550 but the hellcat is out of my range and the GT550 is stick and I really would like more of a DCT type transmission plus I need something a few years old to keep to my budget. I looked at the M3's and drove one and love the transmission but they really aren't that quick and lack a lot luxury for the price.
I've been looking at the CTS-V and E63 today. Would get a 2011 or 2010 respectively, but the CTS-V doesn't seem to have a great Auto while the E63 seems to have everything but it doesn't look to great.
I was just going to get a Hyundai Genesis 5.0 R spec and keep the Vette, but frankly its getting a bit past its useful life.
So if anyone has any other ideas, please let me know. My budget at this point would be around 40K plus some extra for an extended warranty. Ideally I'd like a 4 seat corvette, but I think only one was ever made

Why not just buy something like a good used Accord or Taurus for a DD and keep the C6
You can pick up a good used Taurus for around $5-6K under 100K and that would solve that issue but I realize then you would have another car to insure and etc
Give us your budget and then see what we can come up with.

I took over my son's lease on his Volvo s60 R design when his job took him to Europe.
Rides very tight, has all the bells and whistles and has over 300HP.
A 4 door family sedan with safety first, and fun to drive.
Should have a very high spousal acceptance factor.

Lots of interesting suggestions, the Porsche would be perfect, but unfortunately well out of the price range. As someone mentioned, I could just get a cheap third car, but the vette is now 7 + years old with 100K miles. If it was a few years old I'd consider that option. Been there with 2 cars when I lived in the Northeast and it was a pain in many ways. Still looks like the CTS-V or E63 are my best options at this point. Maybe I should just return one of the kids?

Check out a Jaguar XF Supercharged model. 470hp, and the Supercharged trim comes with all the bells & whistles. Incredible cars.
You can find the 2012 models for under 40k. Example:

You can even find 2011 XF-R (510hp) for under 40k now:

I don't get it.
If you just need a car to haul kids, why not get something cheap and reliable and keep the C6? I mean unless you just don't want your C6 and/or you need a nice car to carry your kids in that's a different story but the answer is easy really. Keep C6, get a cheap reliable commuter car.
But if you have to get rid of your C6 for a 4 seater, if it was me, i would get benz. Can't really go wrong with benz. Or even a lexus. What about the IS-F? Or even a regular GS.

I'd be looking at a Chevrolet SS Sedan.

BMW 650i GRAN COUPE looks like it could to a small extent fill the roll of sports car + passenger carrier...

I bought an 06 Jaguar S type R, fully loaded, 4 door, 400hp with under 40k miles for 12k. Mint condition with a supercharger from the factory for the wife. They were over 70k new. Any Jag past the 05 mark had the electrical bugs worked out.
Of course, if you don't need sporty or HP there are a ton of affordable choices.

CTS-V coupes are pretty darn cool and can definitely be found very close to your price range. I love the CTS-V 'cause there's nothing else like them on the road. They have a truly distinctive style and they have quite an engine to boot. You may not feel much of a loss with this choice.

I test drove a few cts's and I thought they were a bit cramped. The e63 is a great car and also seems to have more room. I have been in several but have not driven one. I do have an e350 and like it a lot. I don't care for the looks of the panamera.

I would chose the CTS-V, or any caddy for that matter.
