I would like to know also; thinking of going to Bilstiens HD's on my C5. I've run them on two 1 ton Dodge PU's and a Durango.....loved them over OEM's.

Yes.

Bilstein has marketed their "Sports" as the replacement shock for Z51 shocks while their "HD" shocks are recommended for the base suspension.

Members have done both versions opposite the recommendation and been happy. Reports say the HD's will "slightly" soften the Z51 ride while the Sports will "slightly" firm up the base ride.

Personal preference.

Edit: Forgot to say that the GS uses Z06 front shocks and "unique to the GS" rear shocks. I don't know how the Bilstein lineup correlates for those. However, consensus opinion is that any Bilstein is superior and smoother acting than a stock shock.

From DRM web site; http://dougrippie.com/products/bilst...ent-shocks-c5/

This set of 4 Bilstein shocks will restore and transform the ride on your Corvette. Due to Bilstein’s close tolerances, simple monotube design, robust yellow powdering coating and advanced technology. You will not find a better shock for the money. Their long history in racing has proven themselves to be one of the top shock companies, without having the expense of being hand built.

DRM offers two different “off the shelf” models, the Heavy duty (HD) and the Sport models.

DRM suggested uses are as followed.

Base cars, Convertibles and those looking for a better ride, please choose the HD model.
Z51, Z06, and those looking for a Sporty ride, please choose the Sport model.
