Default zo6 mufflers

Anbody removed the fiberglass out of npp mufflers to get a little more sound from them? I replaced stock mufflers on base coupe with zo6 npp mufflers and not real happy with sound would like a more aggressive sound. Would the sound be on the tinny side with a lot of drone? Any sound clip's? Or am I just better off leaving as is. Thanks

You need to first identify if they are really Z06 mufflers or ones from the NPP option. They are NOT the same.

I have Z06 mufflers with the muffler mod. I cut the muffler open and clamped off the perforated pipe and put half of the packing back it. Got much louder and sounds more aggressive.

All the C6 bi-mode mufflers are vacuum operated.
See post #5 for the muffler mod. You might check on the Z06 forum for more details.

I did the muffler mod on my Z06. Sounds great. I'd recommend that mod if you don't want to buy an exhaust and want it louder.
