Charity Event for Kids with Cancer - Would Love to see C6s
Hey everyone,
My family will be running the 13th annual "Kristen's Walk to the Water" this year in Sayville, New York. It's a 3 mile walk to the beach and back on Long Island and all donations/proceeds raised from the walk go to children and young adults with cancer. Make-A-Wish Foundation is an excellent foundation, however, they just aren't able to help everyone. We help those children and young adults that Make-A-Wish cannot help by buying laptops, play sets, vacations etc., to make their battle a little more stress free.
The walk is in the name of my sister, Kristen, who lost her battle with Leukemia when she was 18 years old. She was one of the young adults that Make-A-Wish was not able to help, so we try to provide for others like her.
The walk is May 9th at 8:30am. Full details on the event are located on our website, Kristenswalktothewater.com, or at our facebook event page here: https://www.facebook.com/events/742099462573220.
While many of you aren't from the area, it would be greatly appreciated if you could donate to the cause at www.kristenswalktothewater.com and clicking on the "Donations" tab, and donating through paypal. If you choose to do so, please write "Corvette" in the description line on PayPal so I can update this post from time to time with the accumulated proceeds from Corvette members.
I'll be there with my 2011 Grand Sport and I'd love to see some other members with their cars! Hopefully I included everything in this post, but if you have any questions about the event, ask away

Look at this crazy thing my grandson did just recently, at the "Zero Heros" fund drive for Alzheimer's research.
It's the kind of thing we'd only do when we're 17.
