Default How overpriced? 2013 GS 2LT.. 50K?

Have talked with this guy a few times, and he seems to be a very good guy.. Almost all of his cars are Grand Sports, and are almost spotless.. That being said, his asking price is almost the same on every car.. Curious what is the most you'd pay for a car such as this one..

Thanks very much in advance..

Cheers..

It's not bad.

I'd say its around 46-47, not 50.

I got my '12 GS 2LT with 6k miles for 40. But my car is torch red and i assume that being a convert, plus the rare color combo, plus being a '13, it should be more. I say its about right. Remember dealers aim high so there's room to negotiate. My GS was priced at 43. I was watching that car for a while til they bumped the price down a bit. Then just walked in one day to see what they would give me for my LS2 GTO and it was reasonable so i made the deal.

You got a really good deal. I picked up a 2011 GS with 23k miles for $40k and I had to get it shipped to Long Island from Miami. Everything around here was high $40's for that year and mileage

That's a nice looking GS but I'd say it's 2-4K high on price for a 2LT. I paid $52K a year ago at a GM dealer for a 2013 GS 3LT with 5K miles and it came with a GM CPO warranty, which BTW includes 2yrs basic maintenance. KBB puts the fair price of that 2LT at $46,016. I'd start around KBB price if you really like it, otherwise there's lots of deals out there for late model C6s.

Agree. Sharp looking GS though. I was NOT going to go over KBB value when I bought my 2008 used. The dealership had been holding the car for a while as I kept an eye on it for a couple months, and then they dropped the price a little. They still had some negotiating power because there were no other vettes within a 100 mile radius from me that were 2008-2009 at KBB value. Rather hard to find, before that I was already talking to CarMax to see about maybe having a vette shipped (and even they only had a few), but I really didn't want to pay the shipping costs.

But today, there are a lot more C6's popping up for sale at dealerships. I wouldn't go over KBB and I'm sure there are plenty more sharp GS's that will pop up as guys with $$ buy C7's.

That car would be in the low 40's around here.

Not sure about the price but shouldn't those seats have Grand Sport embroidered on them in addition to the stripes if it has the Heritage Package?

I believe this car could be had for $15-16K under MSRP brand new in the summer of 2013. The price they're asking is about the same as what it was new. $44K sounds like a fair price with 5K miles

How can anybody say that is a good price. I bought that same car ( torch red 2lt ) with two tone sport seats, chrome wheels, red calipers and npp exhaust BRAND NEW in march of 2013 and paid the exact same price!

43-44k if perfect. Paid 46 for my 3LT convertible GS Heritage with 10k miles last summer for reference.

That doesn't mean a thing now.It is supply and demand and the right 13 GS will bring more than a 14 1LT Stingray.I can buy all the 14s I want but they are a tough sell used.

Part of the value may be the dealer prep. Did he take it in, detail it and then list it or did he, for example, change all the fluids and give it a complete check?

Did you even ask the guy if it's a no dicker sticker or not? Why not at least ask? My guess is the guy isn't in biz as a hobby and he will either sell it for that or darned close. As others have stated, the C7 isn't a universal hit so the later / best GS's may be inflating in value due to that.

Thanks for all of the replies fellas.. I'm not quite ready to purchase a car, but will be soon.. I"ve been watching prices, and this guy has some really nice cars.. I asked if his prices were negotiable and his response was "depends on how long I"ve had them here".. I"ve seen a few of his cars on ebay with buy it now options for the same price.. usually go unsold at this price point.. I just wanted to see if these prices are "GASP" type prices or not.. I"ve looked on KBB and see that they are a good 2-5k over what KBB has.. I'm sure he has some money tied up in detailing and "servicing" although I'm not sure what's involved in that "service".. I did find it interesting thought that for the most part all of his prices are the same.. 49,989.00.. A few cars for 50k plus.. but he seems to start at the same price point..

One year ago I picked up a 2012 Centenntial ($5K option) GS coupe, 3LT with chrome wheels, perf exhaust, automatic with 22K miles for $44K. I think the asking price of $50K is to high.

I think he's overpriced by about 5 or 6k. It's a 2lt coupe. If it was a 3 or 4lt vert maybe. You're in the mid 50s with used C7 2lt verts already.

Plus those black rims make it worth even less.

I bought my 2012 GS 6 speed manual last March with 8,000 miles and both tops for $45K. The dealership started at $57K, and had come down to $53k. I watched it all winter then in March called and offered them $45K. They took it. It is Torch Red and is in perfect condition.

Are you looking elsewhere, too? I mean, you have a forum dealer who keeps taking in trade Corvettes not far from you---have you been in contact with him/them? Or is your search more of a wish list since you're not quite ready to get one yet?

beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so they say. and with that being said, it really is a beautiful looking machine and if you have the money, buy it. yeah, i get it, its only a 2lt but still the car looks brand new due to being well taking care of. theres a dealer in madison, n.j. that has a 013 g.s. with a little over 2000 on the clock and i think hes asking around $48 grand. the car is a 4lt super clean machine and if you don't mind a white one i would call him. oops, its a jaguar dealer by the way that has the car on their showroom floor. check it out on the internet, i'm really surprised no one jumped on that car yet. me, i prefer the cyber over the white color, but thats me.

Again.. thanks for all the responses today.. AORoads.. I'm def looking all around.. I work for an airline and can get anywhere for free.. so distance is not much of a barrier.. Having said that, I have been to the "Local" dealer you mentioned.. Good peeps.. I have narrowed my search pretty significantly to what I want however.. that's ok, I"ll look and find the car that I want. I've seen this particular dealer come up with several cars now that are VERY close to what I want.. Just curious on the prices as I've felt like he's a about 2-5k over..

I'm looking for a 12-13 GS. 2-3LT, Either Cyber Grey, or black (I've been going back and forth on the color issue).. Manual tranny, NPP.. Heritage package not an issue.. this one had it, although I don't like the fender stripes.. Mostly trying to get a bead on what I should pay for a car like this with 5-10K miles..
