Sorry if this thread annoys anybody but I'm gonna ask anyway. I've been called out by a cam exhaust tune M6 LS2 GTO with a 3.90 rear gear. I have a bone stock 08 z51 A6. I have raced and beat the goat before in my previous car ( 500whp 99 SS M6 ). But I will say the goat was very healthy. The goat put down 438 on the same dynojet that my Camaro was on. Anyway do I have a chance or how bad will it be. This will be a roll race on the highway.

I came to my 08 m6 w/ Z51 from a cammed full b/o LS2 goat. With the gears and cam my bet would be the goat edges you out by a car or 2 but not a buslength.

He's trying to get in a win while he can. I have a novi 1500 kit, kooks headers, corsa xtreme exhaust, and Sam Miller Tune being installed in the next couple weeks. I'm still debating running meth with no restrictor, or just 93 octane. He is running a MS3 cam and speed density tune btw.

Anybody know the weight difference between a ls2 goat and a 08 z51 ? He is at 438whp and from what I have gathered my car should be about 370whp bone stock. So we're talking 68whp and a weight difference of what here?

The GTO has at the wheels what you have at the flywheel, what do think will happen. You can always Hope that he misses 3rd gear.

An LS2 goat weights 3725 pounds. I pulled a bunch of weight off mine including the gas tank brace which looking back was likely a less than safe choice...whatever. If dude is making 438 at the wheels then I assure you the cam is stout. 3.90 gears and a bone stock automatic vette with much lesser gearing means this is indeed a hell of a race. I still bet the goat pulls it out by the above margins, likely 1 if not 2 car lengths. Remember too this is a roll race so the **** poor 245 45/17 rubber out back is not gonna slip most likely like it surely would from a dig unless dude in the goat has DR's in which case the goat would close to dead hook, suspension mods, drag bags or not. I love races like this.

I have had both and it comes down to the driver. The GTO has wheel hop and I know I missed 3rd gear many times.

Rolling start goes to him. If I was you go from a dig advantage you because you will hook and he will spin!

Gotta factor in the weight difference in the two drivers too. If he's 120 and the OP is 320, he'll need to go on a diet.
