Default ebcm

After a long day at the dealer they diagnosed my brake light and abs light to the ebcm. I found one on amazon for $237 and replacing it myself. My question is will the lights clear themselves, do I need to clear the codes or will the dealer have to program the new ebcm? Lights on the dash drive me crazy.

You didn't say what year your car is or what year the EBCM you bought is but FYI, GM changed the EBCM from Delphi to Bosch in 2009 and they are not interchangeable:

Its a 2009, pretty sure its acdelco part 25966977 not sure who makes it.
