Default Glove Box Door Handle

While trying to open the glove box on my 2006 the pull up handle broke off in my hand. Box is closed now. Where can I get replacement or is there another way to fix?

Yes it can be replaced. Just make sure you save the key lock tumbler. I think there is a post on the replacement somewhere on the forum. I ordered mine from Gene at the GM Parts House, but he is no longer with them, but is on the forum with another vendor. It is a common issue and for some reason it seem to happen on the Cashmere interiors more then any other.

Gene is now Cultrag Performance.

I bought the ebony one to replace my broken cashmere one. It is stronger and cheaper. Had it sent to TKO for hydro dipping to match the rest of my interior.

The second one just broke on my '08 a couple weeks ago. The first one only made it 5 months and 11K miles. At least this one lasted 7 years and another 113K.
I used to think it was a bad batch of the titanium color in '08, but it appears the color or year makes no difference.
The latch on the wife's Caddy broke last year too.
It's a bad place to use plastic.

I heard that the colored ones used less carbon in them, making them weaker. How much truth there is to that I don't know, but it seems the colored ones have more problems.

Different source and color, but I just found a titanium one available online from a local dealer for $28.58. I'm heading down there this afternoon.
