At times it takes quite awhile for mine to catch up with the outside temp. I'm sure you've tried a long drive, so maybe you could unhook the positive battery connection for a little bit. Maybe it will reset. Wish I could help more. Good luck.

First step, move out of Michigan

Second step would be to check out the sensor itself and make sure it's clean. I would tell you where it was but I don't know.

Thanks brother. I just saw a post on how to check the sensor. Only wish I could post it for the OP. But, I'm quite technologically challenged.

OP, do a search in this section for thread heading "Outside air temp stuck". Everything you need to know is there.

Try pressing both defrosters and the fan up buttons simultaneously (three buttons at the same time). This makes the sensors update the climate control module immediately. Worth a shot before digging into anything.

Usually takes 5-10 minutes of actual driving for the reading to update. If, after that, it's still throwing odd temps, use the reset procedure.

The sensor is very near a potentially hot radiator. Therefor the software refuses to increase the temperature reading if the car has not been moving for a while. It will decrease the temp quickly when you pull out of a heated garage since it knows that is a real change but increases might just be from the radiator if the car is not moving fresh air across the sensor. If you are just admiring the car sitting still the temperature reading might not be right. DRIVE IT!

My temp gauge sometimes takes a few minutes to properly read the temp, but it has never been stuck on any temp after a few minutes.
