Cup Holder Roller Cover Replacement
The sun has taken its toll on the cup holder roll top cover. Can't seem to find a replacement with normal forum venders. Any suggestions?

Part 15
But do another search under your car year to make sure that the part number is the same (this is for the 2008 model, and different year may be a different collar, or have the silver piece on the center of the pull handle or not.

You have to buy the entire cup holder. The cover is part of that assembly. The cover will come off, and can be changed out if you find a used cup holder. I do have a spare assembly that I don't use anymore.
I can sell you just that cover part if you like.
PM me.

The part, which is the entire cup holder assembly, is about $120.00. When I bought the car, the cup holder cover was worse than yours and the dealer agreed to install a new one (and a new ashtray assembly since that door would not latch). Since I was going to be installing a new MGW shifter anyway, I had them give me the parts and installed them myself. Just find the Center Console removal instructions in this site and use those. Replacing the cup holder is literally unscrew old, screw in new, re-install console.

My cover was faded and crumbling the on the top. I very lightly sanded a few places smooth and painted it with peelable black automotive paint.
I think it actually looks better than original. If you can figure out how to fix the backside you might try this. The paint is ~$5 can or so if I remember. I can post a pic if you like to see it.

I found for $35.00 in junkyard complete ash tray assembly.
I did searched and found not made no more, good luck in the hunt!

You do realize thst you are answering a 3 year old reply about replacement sites. A salvage yard may be your best option if you dan't find a new assembly.
Most just tape/ glue the bottom side and cover the front with carbon fibre vinyl or plain vinyl.
removing the radio surround console is the only way to get access to the cup holder screws.
