If you wanted "Lambo" doors, why did you not just get a "Lambo" instead of a Corvette?

Technically you are installing lambo-style hinges.

The doors are still corvette.

spoke to a tech at the shop the other day as he was working on a "lambo door" Z06, said he hated it most out of all mods and that the wiring was not to good a design either.

Lighten up, Spider, it's all in good fun. Some people even put black wheels on their vettes.

Not everyone's cup of tea, but I've seen a few in car show pictures on this forum. I'm surprised no one that has them installed hasn't chimed in.
Here is instructions on how to install them that I found while surfing years ago.

Black wheels on a Vette? Who would possibly be that reckless?

Not for everyone but I don't regret the mod. Remove the fenders. Better exposure should make the job easier.

Hey, if its what the guy wants then so be it, I don't really care, just wondered why. Has to costa pretty penny to do and I would guess resale would go thru the floor. But whatever floats your boat

Kit cost me $1000/$200 shipping, and if I install it myself (which I will) then it's free and if I decide to sell the car I'll just remove the kits.

I like the look myself but have read that the install is on the difficult side for a DIY. Post some picks when you finish.

You think you want them, but there are issues. Door closing, lining-up the latch to the hinge is not perfect, even with the best kits, causing the door to bounce-back. Door will come down, then close inward, though not always lined-up. Water pours down into cabin when opened if raining, sliding down the door. Wind catches the sail when opened and wrenches it perpendicularly off the hinge. Gets to be a PITA and you end-up just wanting to not catch attention, trying to squeeze out of the open-first 6" part than lifting it up.

Hey 808! I hope you do what you want. I'm interested in possibly doing this mod one day. Just for a different look also. Let me know how it goes, or post some pics one day too.

Aloha Bro!
