I have a 2005 Corvette and was told I could reset the tpms with a magnet,I set the car to acc. mode,held lock and unlock buttons on fob until I heard the horn,I then used a strong magnet from a computer hard drive(told to use this and plenty strong enough)and went to the left front tire and it will not trigger the horn,I tried it several times and nothing,am I doing something wrong?

if its the newer style tpms you need the tool. i just went through this on my '08. installed new wheels tires and tpms. just go to the tire shop or wherever you get work done and have them activate them with the tool (if you have the new style sensors which you probably do.)
