Rear Ball Joints
"C6 2005" I installed a new half shaft. Using a pickle fork I cut the rubber boot on my lower A frame ball joint. Can that ball joint be replace without replacing the whole A frame at a tune of $500.00. Thanks. Bill.

Yes, the ball joints can be replaced, and just pressed out, and the new one pressed back in.

So on that note if needed, pick up the needed ball joint, pull the needed part, and any machine shop can press the old one out and the new one back in.
But if you just split the boot, and the ball joint is still good, then just replace the boot alone.
Check with these guys, and chances are they have a boot for a couple bucks that you can swap out with the old boot.

P.S, stop using the pickle fork, and use the harbor freight splitter instead.
