That's quite a bit of work to replace a gasket. Car to had to spend overnight at the dealership, but all seems well. Luckily was under warranty, can't imagine what that would have cost in labor.

I had mine replaced a year ago. You're right, it was a whole lot more work than I would have expected. I'm glad I had it done. I also had warranty coverage, but total cost would have been a little over $600.00

Oil pan gasket and rear main seal on my 2010 last week. Took the car in on Monday & picked it up Friday evening. All covered under warranty as there are only 11,000 miles on the clock.

Dealer told me mine is leaking on my 2008, out of warranty. Quoted me $1,200 to repair. Alternatively, they just told me to drive the snot out of it and it would probably be just fine.

Best time to do the gasket is when you have the HB replaced.. They have to do the exact same process to move the rack and support the engine.

That's funny, they actually told me the same thing, you really don't have to do anything and it will probably be fine. But I figured since it was covered anyway, why not.

any pics of leaking pan? I have seepage around the bolts and gasket, but no drips. Just a matter of time.
