So.. I took a little trip...
Took the C6 and drove from TX to PA to visit family last week. Left Austin area on Friday, got to West Chester, PA area on Saturday. Spent the week there and drove back this past Friday/Saturday.
Some observations on my first road trip.
Overall - averaged 28.3 MPG. This includes driving a few 100 miles around West Chester/Boyertown area.
Vette was very comfy for my on the entire trip. No back soreness or tired shoulders/hips legs etc...
Car is an excellent road traveler. Just eats up the miles.
Arkansas has some bad interstate roads. Pa roads are worse. I think the PA roads are nothing but potholes with a flat area now and then.
On the way back, ran into a pretty nice storm in Arkansas. Hail.. lots of hail.. car had no problems, but I did have to find a bridge to hide under for about 45 minutes... That was not a lot of fun
Truckers, for the most part were very road friendly. I think they just want to keep moving and other then the total number of them were a lot less of an issue then many of the idiots in cars were.
Overall, managed to put on just a little over 3600 miles in 8 days with zero issues as the car just ran flawlessly. Wave is not dead in many of the interstates that I was on as well.
If you happened to pass a Atomic Orange C6 with USMC plates.. Thanks for the wave!

That's more than a Lil trip..... More than many log in an entire year.....hehe...
I totally agree with the comfort and the spectacular mpg...
These cars are great just for cruising the road... Don't have to be racing around hauling a$$ to enjoy them..
I've gone for a couple of 18+ hour round trips and faced some nasty weather and it did just fine....
I'm glad you were able to hide from the hail our this would be a totally different post topic....

I have an 07 also and it is a great grand tourer.
Glad you were able to avoid the hail.
We went to OK last Friday and I got in my wife's car but just could not force myself to drive it. Ended up taking the Vette. We arrived about 30 minutes before the bad weather, car was in a covered parking garage. We left after the storm passed. Just a few drops of rain, not even enough to report to carfax.

The roads thru the Ozarks in Arkansas are some of my favorite. You must not have found the "good" roads.
Nice trip btw.

West Chester is a great area, I think thats where we're going to look when we buy our forever home. I'm glad you enjoyed the trip.
I couldn't agree more about the roads up here, its beyond frustrating.

Glad you had a great ride! As for PA. roads, route 6 that goes across the top of the state is an amazing ride with ribbons of beautiful asphalt that twist through the hills and through small towns.
